What is your advice / top tips for Brides who don't usually focus on routined skincare?
Emma: I have learnt that the best results come from using the same skincare products consistently, so it is important for brides to get into a skincare routine when preparing for their big day. Glowing, hydrated skin makes you feel good and is the perfect canvas for your wedding makeup. Everyone is different, so we offer a questionnaire on our website that helps our customers to decide which of our skincare plans is best for them.
For that coveted glow, your skin needs a combination of good quality deeply hydrating and nourishing ingredients, natural exfoliants, antioxidants and active ingredients. These ingredients should all work together and enhance one another. All of this was considered when developing The Face Planner products alongside a dermatologist.
Talk us through why you felt The Face Planner was an important brand to start
Emma: The skincare market is overwhelming and full of overnight results and false promises. As a busy professional counting down to my wedding, I knew I wanted to look and feel my best but didn’t have the time to research and trial from the vast amount of products on the market. I could see there were go-to products for just about everything else for brides apart from skincare, so that is when The Face Planner began. We will focus on developing skincare plans for milestone moments in our customer’s lives - think beyond weddings to milestone birthdays, pregnancy, menopause etc., as we believe the best results come from following a skincare plan where all of the products have been developed to work together instead of against one another. I think there is a growing movement in skincare for a ‘less is more’ approach and The Face Planner is well poised to benefit from this trend.
Why are the products different to any other products out there?
Emma: The Face Planner products are 100% made in Italy, sourcing many ingredients from our brand home in Tuscany and other local suppliers of excellence. The traceability of ingredients was really important to me when we were formulating the products and I am proud of the Italian heritage that we have built the brand upon. We developed the products alongside Dr. Catherine Borysiewicz, a renowned London based dermatologist, who has ensured that the ingredients used are not just ‘hype’ but actually give you the results you’re looking for. We also decided to make sure the formulas were not too abrasive or stripping as we know that brides are likely to be doing other aesthetic treatments in the countdown to their wedding, so our products can be used alongside. Lastly, selling in plans is something unique to our brand. We know that the best results come from using products that are designed to work together, instead of picking and choosing from different brands which is likely to cause irritation and/or an overlap of ingredients.
What is your number 1 product that you'd recommend to everyone?
Emma: Without a doubt, it would be consistent daily use of our hero product, THE SUPER HYDRATOR. It really does wonders at evening out skin tone, boosting radiance and plumpness and nourishing your skin from below the surface.
If someone has sensitive skin / easily irritated for example and is worried about skincare products, which products would you recommend?
Emma: All of our products have been tested on sensitive skin. There is nothing too stripping in the formulas, so sensitive skin should be fine with all six of our products.
